Damn the wind!!!!!
We left Lutes at sun up and headed out towards the bay to see what was happening. We made it to marker 35 and we changed our minds real quick. We made a U-turn and went looking for protected water. We anchored at a few spots and only found fish at one. We crept up on a grass shoreline that we could see baby shad(?) getting busted up by flounder. My wife was given a secret weapon and some instructions on using said weapon to catch flounder by a generous angler (thanks Muddskipper) the night before. She put the tactics to work this morning. She worked the shoreline and managed her two best flounders to date. They were both 18" and some change and full of piss and vinegar. These girls hit the bait hard and gave Candace the fishing rush she has been craving. I think the coolest part of the story is the fact my wife targeted these flounder. They were't caught by accident. Candace turned them both in and placed third with her best that went 2.53 pounds. I caught two and turned in one. Long story short, my wife out fished me again (....who's your Capt?!?!
