Took my future father and brother in laws out saturday morning. Put in at Lutes about 730 and headed for the bay. I stopped first for a few drifts on the east side between Halls and Chanel. Nothing. Beautiful morning though. I am kind of a Chocolate newbie (trying to learn some new areas) so I was going off alot of the Hook and Line map. We went and tried drifting over the 5 reefs in West Bay that the map shows. No luck. Tried the shunken shrimp boat and the sand flats around Bird Island. Nothing there either. Ended up coming back and went into Hall's and trolled the shorelines. Nothing. We were about ready to call it a day but hit a few spoils on the way in. Ended up catching a couple small specs for dinner. Threw every lure in my box and live shrimp. Unproductive day but beautiful weather and good times. I got alot to learn in these places.
