Well I have been on the road for a while and I was instructed when I got home I was to take my wife fishing. Who am I to complain. We set out around 1:00 for a day of sunshine and boat traffic. I managed to stay away from most of the traffic by hitting shallow water areas.

We had caught eight fish over shell and mud by about 5:00 p.m. (all too small for the fry tonight) when my phone rang and my father-in-law was in route to the ramp. So we headed in and scooped him up. We headed further out into the bay and drifted around unitl dark. We caught lots of undersized fish, but manage a few fish to eat tonight. 2- reds to 25"s, 2- trout to 18"s, and a 20" flounder.

All fish were over a mud to shell transition. Caught on gulp 5" shad, swimming mullet, and TTF red killers.

I will be back at it tomorrow, got to let the sun burn cool off for a day.I will post some pics when I clean them in a few.

Highlight of the day - Having a Jackwagon come within 12 ft of my bow and cut my wife off from fishing. Started to step on his boat and give him a piece of my mind, but it is not worth it. He got a taste of salwater spray when I headed in. Turns out a john boat with a 30hp tiller can't out run a 175hp vmax. Idiots........

    Take care,

    DB

    Nice report-thanks.
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

I am glad you didn't go home empty-handed.

Talking about idiots..........Sunday morning, I am headed to a spot on a Galveston Bay Shoreline that I have wanted to fish. I see a school of mullet getting BUSTED! I mean crazy busted. My wife hangs a hard left and we drop the trolling motor and start to rig our lures to our lines. I look up and here comes a couple a-holes with a track between our boat and our targeted school of fish. VVVVVVRROOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!! They pass right in the middle of our track and head straight to my original destination. All I could do was throw up my hands at them. I told my wife that the fish should regroup and we'll try again. About 15 minutes later, it is on again. The mullet is being busted up and we are in route. The trolling motor is down and we are heading to the battle field. Guess who is coming back towards us? That's right, the same two f-heads that screwed us up the first time. I told my wife to reel it in!!!! We are cutting them off! I was too slow to get all the gear in and pull up the trolling motor. I went at them, but they were moving too fast for me to be effective. I had no plans to chase them. I just wanted to get within ear shot. We called a morning after that.
