My father-in-law and his dad set out for a relaxing fishing trip yesterday. Well, it was fun but the wind was friggin horrible. The water was trying to clean up with incoming tide, but it just couldn't get there with all the wind.
We managed 10 fish, but only two of the trout were keepers. Gramps was happy with it, because he had dinner for him and his wife. All fish fell to a popping cork rigged with a gulp. You really had to pop the hell out of it because of all the wind and bloop fish on. Well a few fish. All fish caught in the open bay (rough as hell) drifting at 30 mph... Tried the back lakes, but no luck.
All in all in was great to finally get out there. More rain in the forcast and more travel days for me coming up. Good luck and be safe out there.
