Wife's 1st trout on artificial

I took my wife fishing yesterday and today. Yesterday, we got her some shrimp and the live bait bite was turned completely off. She only caught a few dinks. Today, I started her on Gulps, but the fish didn't want any of those, so we rigged her up with a Maniac Mullet (chartruse/pearl) She caught 2 nice trout (18 & 19") with a couple of smaller ones and another nice trout that self-released at the boat. She spend the rest of the morning taking pictures of osprey & pelicans and shorebirds, so we had a good weekend together. (2 days- 10 trout=7-1/2 lbs of fillets) Mmm fish tacos here we come... Here is a pic of an osprey flying, I don't have pics of the fish

It took a while to get my wife off of the shrimp and on lures. I haven't bought shrimp in two years .................but if I did, I would make a trip to Lutes Marine and pick up a pint of those spicey shrimp Cody has swimming in Go-Go Juice!!!!
