Headed down to the boat slip today. Loaded up and was ready to go when I realized I forgot my pole. Went back to the house to pick it up. The ol lady thought it was pretty funny when I showed up as she was headed off to work. Oh well no big deal I have two weeks to terrorize the fish anyway. Returned to the boat and headed out.
I have been having a power issue with my GPS. Reeltime and Spook fixed it up for me this weekend. So I headed out to find some rough water. I found plenty of it in West Bay!!!. Two foot swells with the throttle down I put it to a real test. After a mile of that all I can say is the power issue has been resolved. I also had a short in my antenna. Well with the advice of a FWE member that was fixed by adding a dab of dielectric grease to the connection. I cant remember who suggetsed it but thanks! ( I think it was Robalo,If not Kudos to the member I have left out).
With all that out of the way I decided to make a few cast on the way back. I drifted a few reefs and picked up two reds, one trout and a little ugly. All fish caught on plum chartruese bass assassins with a 1/4 oz jighead in 3 feet of water over scattered shell. The wind started blowing like a sack of whores so I called it a day. Tight Lines!!
