  • Potlicked buy flying machines!

Mike Ibtsoom and your's truly started the morning in Hall's bayou counting gators. We got to one of his Fav spot's and about twenty min into a troll/drift this Helicoptor just stop and circles over use which i thought was strange.I metioned were being potlicked from the air and Mike almost falls overboard. So after hooking grass, shoreline, shell and a few hook-ups but no hook sets we head to greener pastures. We get out to the bay and start our first drift and thing's are looking up.i hook one of the biggest blue crab's i've seen in awhile with a soft plastic then i fowl hook a good size croaker. We find the reds working this shoreline and i see this plane run bye a washing machine off in the distance..this jackhole in this yellow bi-plane gets lower and is heading staright for us and does a fly bye waving and all happy. Were like @#$%$%$ off you just scattered every redfish and all the bait whitin casting distance and then some.I thought boaters on weekends and hollydays could be downright rude but some arragorant jackhole in a plane mind you his was flying reel low.I wish those Mickey mouse planes had numbers.Focus Chris.........We headed to another spot and pretty much ended the day with 2 trout that went to 18 1/4 and one red slot red.All fish caught on Topwater's.sorry no pic's.........Have any of ya'll seen or know the guy that fly's that yellow bi-plane out in that area?

lol Buoy37!That thought crossed my mind!He needs to be made aware that buzzy people in a plane ain't right and may not be legal.Heck those thing fall from the sky every day from user error. We had no idea if he was flying or crashing. There was nobody on the lake except us at that time. Then we watched as he started buzzing cabins.

FAA prohibits careless and reckless operations. Buzzing people on the ground is careless and one of the biggest causes of general aviation accidents (see AOPA website). In a commercial airplane no turns are allowed below 1000 feet on final approach when the plane is close to the ground. If you picked up the tail number of the airplane, a report to the FAA at Scholes Field could cause the pilot to be investigated, but probably more trouble than it is worth.

This thing was more like an erector set with wings that somebody built in the garage.

I have a buddy that flys the exon tiger plane ,man it is cool to watch him fly that thing . My friend Troy that helps us do the boils has rode with him and told me a story . He said they where barrle rolling and doing stunts and all the sudden he went straight up and killed the engine ,I geuss one of them stall deals and falls back down and glides all the way back to his airstrip and turns and coast into the hanger and parked it never starting the engine.

He needs to be reported if he is that low. Too late after he crashes and tells your family "I'm Sorry"........
