Thursday was a tough day with winds out of the north at 20 to 25 knots. Found some good water along the north shoreline with a fair amount of bait in the area. Fishwestends flapper found some Trout out a little deeper on pearl Devil Eyes. Fishingaddiction found a few nice Reds up a little tighter to the grass. Steve A also caught a few nice Reds. Tried hitting one cove along the south shoreline but the wind just had it to roughed up. Decided to go hit some areas up around North Deer Island around some of the shell pads. This is where we found a little better bite on some better Trout. Bass Assassins and Corkys worked slow found some hungry Trout in 3 to 4' of water. Left them biting at 2pm. I think we ended up with about 15 fish on Thursday.
Yesterday the weather and wind cooperated and the fishing was fantastic. Had Fishwestends David Smith AKA Green Tide and his brother in law and his som in law. Started off in a cove that had alot of Mullet and alot of birds working. It didn't take long as everyone started catching fish. I think we ended up with 23 fish yesterday. Plum Assassins were the ticket yesterday over soft mud in 3' of water. The last 2 days the topwater bite has been tough. Assassins and Corkys have accounted for all of the Trout, Reds, and Flounder.
