saturday report

hell on reels and i headed out to west bay to see what we could find. we found a small school of birds but nothing under them. we headed to the south shoreline coves and made a few drifts and picked up a few fish. i saw some pelicans diving by a geo tube and trolled over that way and found a large school of redfish. some keepers, some almost. we boxed 3 and the bite died after about 20 minutes. by then several flocks of birds were working so we started chasing birds. we ended the day boxing 5 specs, 3 large sandies, and 3 reds. tons of throwback mixed in. it was a beautiful day. the reds came on shrimp, the trout on soft plastics.

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
