    Beautiful Morning On The Bay

    I was staked out before dawn and in the water wading waist deep shell. The first three trout jumped over the Super Spook Jr. One finally connected and it was on for an hour or so. I had eight trout 17" - 22" by 8:00 on the "chromanator", then the bait went down. I chunked for another hour trying different tops with nothing so I moved maybe 50 yards, switched to my new favorite plastic the Hackberry Hustler in chicken-on-a-chain and jigged up three more bigger trout all 5# or better.
    That lure is a great shrimp imitation with great action!

    Like I told the guy in the post asking how fishing was yesterday; If you're not catching fish right now, maybe you should take up golf!

      This morning was one of the best days I've had fishing West Bay for a lot of reasons.

        Lawrence said you raved about it. I can't get out again until Thursday. Can't wait.......I hope this other front tomorrow blows some of the water out!

                      Nice catch, its hard to find the hustler, Every Academy has a very limited selection. Im still trying to get some morning glory hustler.
