thursday afternoon quick recon

jones lake has pockets of fishable water, greens lake looked pretty bad. west bay looked pretty good and would be very fishable if the winds die down overnight. i just ran out of greens cut a bit to check it out. i didn't make it to the south shoreline. winds about 15 out of the south. strong incoming in the afternoon. we just tossed gulps under popping cork and managed one croaker.

The winds were pretty tough out there. We ran across from Fat Boys to the SSL and back and it was plenty manageable. We fished the N Shoreline and the water looked pretty good and there were some fish there, but it was a little rough.

car wrecks, a torn rotator cuff, and bad weather have kept me on the down low. we've been mostly drifting jones w/ shrimp and catching a few reds here and there. i'm learning to cast left handed!!

friday report... waded the north shoreline for about an hour. water looked good and there was plenty of bait but just a few short strikes on tequila gold paddle tails. moved to the south shoreline and looked for reds w/ no luck in snake island cove. wind is still around 15, although the forecast say 5 to 10. dredges still around bird island cove and maggies.
