8/31 Report

Jumped in our cove around 6:15, wind was very calm, water high so I focused along the bulkheads and grasslines. A few cast into it, I heard a nice pop behind me, so I blind casted into the area I thought it came from and right when the SS JR(all black) hit the water, it went flying in the air with a nice blow up. It did not take the SS, but hit it 3 more times before it made the decision to swallow it whole! The red was around 22" and was a fighter, which was fun that early in the morning.

Released her and had several more trout blow ups, but no takers. Off the water by 7:45, since it was the last day of the month

Crazy, but I have fished everyday so far this week. Chased bull reds in the surf yesterday, but the seaweed was bad. Hit the lights everynight and caught several trout and one decent red. Good thing is I did not breaknany rods
