So I went back to the flats today determined to catch some fish.
Went to 3 Amigos and got some live shrimp and did ok today, definiteley made uo for yesterdays nothing.
Caught some rat reds, some gaftop, some croaker and a few piggy perch.
Nothing keeper size but still fin so overall not a bad day.
Going back tomorrow to see what happens!

Hang in there. Maybe go out at night and fish the lights.

Seabrook is tough in the summer, but come winter it really picks up. Night fishing in the winter is excellent.

lol now I am older wow. Ouch. I don't care who I fish with as long as I don't have to tie your knots and take your fish off the stringer. You should go to the club meeting at Hooters tonight on Nasa Rd 1 and 45. We will all be there. I remember when I was 18 and thought 30 was old, so all of us old guys understand. That is sure how I feel when I fish with Chip he is 40 going on 80. I will be wading the South shoreline of West Bay this weekend(don't have time to take out the boat). You are welcome to join if you want.

Anyway went back to the flats today and caught some hardheads, some gaftop, a sand trout, some croaker, a rat red, a flounder and a 19 inch red so it was a good day. No keepers but it was a blast.

Look for a pier with lights and take you time getting out there. they will smoke small topwaters on those flats at night. it's like a different world when the sun goes down in the summer months.

Hey if your kayaking at night you just need a light that is visible 360 degreees right?
