We headed out before sunrise to see if we could beat the midday heat and get back before we melted...didn't work. We hit some midbay reefs early and picked up one on a top and some on touts and even some on live bait. It wasn't fast and furious, but one or two of them were very nice trout. Moved to another spot and I landed a few more, but my buddy landed a slam in about 30 minutes...1 nice trout, 1 nice flounder, and 1 lower slot red...wham! All in all a good 7hrs of wading paid off with some nice fish that were grilled to perfection.
