  • My two tourney trout

Caught these two trout on a new bait that I just started throwing, a strike pro wake bait, you can see it in the pic. The bait it ridiculously awesome. Fish hammer it, I love it. Thet carry them at serious tackle on I45. Go get one and try for your self. That's what I did. One of the fish was 4.4 lbs and the other was 3.8 lbs.

The problem with Strike Pro IMO is they're like $14. each and the hardware rust fast too.

X2 -- I've had to change all my hooks and rings out on all my strike pro stuff since this winter. They have great lure designs that really work -- they just need to work on the cost a bit and change their hardware.

            Nice fish there fishcatchr!!
            Shut up and FISH!!

Sounds good, I'll be there too, I'm down to fish, but don't know if it is worth it with the wind the way it is. Let me know also.

As for the baits, yeah they are super expensive. I wouldn't have bought and used them myself for the price. But I got hooked up with a few free ones from Capt. Billy Howell, I have known him since I was 6. Recently he won't shut up about the baits, so I talked him into giving me a few to see for myself. Yes the hooks they come with do suck! I lost 3 huge reds that would have easily put us around top 3 in the tourney, due to poor hooks. They get bent really easily! I changed them now, but I wish I would have known before they cost me some tourney money! Oh well, guess that's why they call it fishing.

nice fish, even though you did catch them on bass crankbaits and not a topwater like a real man

nice catch! I use the Strike Pro "Hunch Backs" too and they work really well. I agree with everyone about the price and the hardware, but I had to find some extra change between the seats and couch.. a lot of change... to drop $14 but I'm using the "great investment" excuse..

The original post in this thread sounded something like Shaw Grigsby would say on his TV show.

"Man, i just love catching these fish on my Berkley Gulp! cut bait, in my brand new Haynie, powered by a 400 Evinrude E-tec, that is anchored by the best anchor system in the world...which eveyone knows is Power Pole. And if i didn't have my 1,000 pound Power Pro on my Berkley fUgly Stick, i never would of had a chance with this 1/2 pound hardhead."

"I'd also like to thank Ocean's Cabaret for the great lap dance and bj last night, they really helped get my mind ready for a great day of fishing. Thanks again Shanaynay."
