Drove down from Houston and jumped in the boat at late 8. Caught a few small reds on north shore, tried the guts down at the pass but the rollers coming in from the surf wouldnt allow the little guys to wade with us. Stopped by the shrimp boat (almost didn't recognize it since there weren't any boats on it), picked up a trout on first cast with shrimp, small shark for one of the boys, headed back to north shoreline where we had action in the morning and caught a few more rat reds. Fun with friends and sons. Pic is of my sone with his first topwater success.
