    25" Speck

    Took my kayak to the State Park yesterday at 6am with my brother. Had three blow-ups on my bone and chrome the first hour with no hook-ups in Dana's Cove. Paddled to the outside of the Geo Tubes throwing white, red and black shrimp tails. I hung-up on the bottom by the Geo Tube and maneuvered my yak up current to jig it loose. As soon as it came loose the fight was on. I thought it was a red since it pulled so hard. When she came to the surface and I saw it was a speck my bottom jaw dropped. Wish I could say it was my fishing skills that caught her and I darn would have liked to have caught more but that is the biggest trout I have caught in a long time.

              Nice trout there. So the fish hit and took it into the tube or the jig came loose and the trout hit it.
