  • 5/14 west bay reds

Waded from 7-9 this morning hoping to catch a few before going to houston. Waded some shallow grass and found some reds chasing shrimp. Had back to back lower slots on a super spook jr, after that if was slow so I tied on a plastic and got one more around 23". It was a beautiful morning and the wind isn't blowing 25mph like it has been.

    Thanks Alex and good going!!
"Hey Hillary, regarding the Benghazi Attack on 9/11-we'll just blame it on that movie, not my total lack of security. By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. BEAUTIFY AMERICA, RUN OVER A LIBERAL, THEN BACK UP AND SEE IF HE'S DEAD.

Alex, good to met you yesterday, thanks for the wade. I learned some new things fishin with you I'll put to use. Way to go on them reds, looks like I'm a day late, and a few fish short. After we left your spot, I headed to SLP, galveston bay side, off the point. Using mullet on carolina rig, for bout 2 hours, I managed 2 crabs, several winded mullet. Not a bite! Hope surf is on by Tuesday morning.

Good job and report. Just wondering, does anyone agree with me that the redfish population has recovered sufficiently enough that TPW should consider increasing the daily limit to 5. Personally, I also would like to see the slot changed to 18"-26".

Haha no worries, I fish with a couple aggies , can't find anyone in LBK that likes saltwater fishing.

Wayne- It was nice to meet you, hopefully the weather will cooperate next week. I don't feel like fishing in 25 mph winds anymore!
