Got on the water about 730. I planed to do a little exploring in the morning since the water was so low i figured i could find some more areas to fish. Fished a couple areas around san luis. Saw lots of bait and the water was clear. Headed back to the south shoreline around 10 to do an afternoon wade. Finally caught my first fish at 1630 and it was a nice red. Then about an hour later caught another red. Finally caught a couple small trout about 1800. Then caught a nice 25 inch trout at almost sun set. Fished till about 2030 with a top water and didn't get a hit. It was getting late so i called it quits. Only ended up with the two reds and nice trout that was all released. And a couple small trout.
The wind was light out of the north early and by the time i left was cranking out of the south about 15-20. There was a four tide day today. I threw almost everything i could think of at them. Assassin, topwater, corky, little grub, cocoaho. Everything different colors.
I Would have left a earlier but there was another guy out there about 500 yards from me catching a lot of fish. He must had some special bait or something and it took every thing in my power to not get closer to him, and crowd him. But to get respect you have to give it. Maybe he was using gulp. But all in all it was a beautiful day on the water. It looks like the bite is turning to afternoon.
    Be back out Wednesday!

He may have found the secret gut of the day. Sometimes it's like that but you did get a few and that's still better than the best day at work. Thanks for the report.
