3/30 morning report

Conditions:
SW winds - 10 plus
Sunny
Water - off color
Tide - below normal
Pressure - 30.11
Water temp - 63.5
Location - south shoreline cove

Left house around 9:00 for a quick wade, saw lots of pelicans diving for bait, so I did a quick drift, nothing, so I went to the cove I wanted to fish to begin with. Did not see any bait at all, but wanted to fish. Started slow, threw corkie day glow and then pink, nothing. Threw Super Spook Bone, nothing. Switched to the AP special, plum and chart. saltwater assaissan, first cast landed 3.5lb 23" a few cast later another 3.5lb 23-24". Took pictures and then released both. Caught a rat red and a small flounder as well. Should have stayed longer, but had to get back to work.

Thanks Chip, I was not expecting much when I pulled it there with no bait at all, but sometimes we have caught some of our best fish with no bait present. Wish I could have stayed longer, because I had a feeling it was going to turn on with that outgoing tide. BTW, plan on hitting it again this afternoon into the evening.
