Night fishing

Made it out last night with the girlfriend. Got out about 2030 and had the light out by 2100. Fished till about 130. Had at least one bump on the bait almost every cast. Catching mostly throwbacks about every 3 or 4 casts. We stuck with it and ended up with 20 keepers. Caught two or three nice 20" plus. Most of the other ones were 15 to 18 range. It sure was fun finally getting into the action and getting her onto a lot of trout. Will be heading out again this evening with her and a buddy. Report to follow.
The water was comming in all night for us. We were using a purple cocaho minnow with a chartruise tail, although im sure they would have bit anything you threw at them. We werent really working the bait. We were just reeling in.

Thanks for the report, nice fish. I have never night fished, expected for gigging in POC, so it would be cool to try it sometime.

Ya we were fishing out of our boat. We just hook up a 500 watt light that sits in a theater can light thingy. And run it off a 2000 watt honda generator. It works perfect.
