Going out wading friday afternoon/evening. but my grind is gonna start out in the surf late morning. Just looking to snatch up some whiting. Should I fish the rock groins or further west towards 91st street?

ESPN’s article on banning fishing was editorial

There is lots of news on the fishing front, I want to take a moment to address the concerns of a number of readers who sent e-mails asking about a proposed federal government shut down of recreational fishing.
An article on ESPN’s Outdoor Web site, ESPN Outdoors Saltwater, generated the notes.
The article appeared on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the Web site announced somewhat of a retraction in that the article was presented as factual and was not properly edited as it should have been identified as an opinion.
The Tuesday article created an alarm among anglers that the Obama administration was proposing to shut down recreational fishing, at least in certain zones.
It was titled “Culled out” and showed a sign being held by protesters with the caption “Save the Humans.”
Regardless of the retraction, my personal view is the sports fishing industry is too strong in this country to allow something like that to occur.
As added assurance, you might want to contact your congressional representative and voice your concerns.
Why does it not surprise me to read something like this?????Comment
