  • Quick wade in Sportsman 2/22/10

Went and did some wading but no bites, Wind blowing pretty strong, and tide was high. Had a good time out. Oh yeah I headed to crash basin to see if I can get a bit, I knew that the place is deep, but I decided to get in the water, and found out quick that is not a place to wade...LOL, what an experience!

Use TTF, gulp, swim baits, and top water but not a bite.

Thanks for the report man. Try yakking and cutting drifts over the shell reefs off Sportsman's. You'll at least find a couple hungry fish.

Next time you head on out that direction you may want to hit it on the next low tide. I am sure some of the better winter low tides may be over with but it will give you a good, good, layout of the crashbasin! You will stay drier next time I am sure.

GO to the end of the road and turn right and you will find some nice Yak/Wade grounds and if you turn left before the basin and then a right at the next turn you will find 103rd street and another place to Yak/Wade.

Some great fishing in that area.

Sorry I'm pretty new. What and where is the crash basin? What can you normally catch there?
