chocolate/west bay

put in at 2004 about 10 am, only 1 other trailer in the area. that alone should have told me something. i went anyways.....
well chocolate was chocolate. ran the bay over to halls and around towards new bayou, back thru the narrows up halls bayou about a 1/2 mile. back thru the narrows over to the geotubes. everything was chocolate....
shot across west bay to snake island. all this time i have not seen even a flicker of bait. fished the channel to the houses behind snake island. water was clear, no bait no bites.
now is shoot across the bay towards greens. on the way i notice a bunch of loons, i figure loons eat bait, bait=fish. it was a good theory. thats all it was... make it about 1/2 ways to greens when i threw in the towel.
head back towards chocolate, go right to the corner of the geotubes.'
first cast its on..redfish about 18 inches. make 10 more casts...nothing.
back up to 2004 and home.
what a great day for a boat ride.....and 1 fish.

Man, i thought the guys on the water today would of got into em. Guess we do need a few days of "warm up" before it starts getting right again.

My neighbors fished all over west bay on saturday amd sunday with only 1 flounder caught. They said they did not see any bait both days, come on warm weather!
