we got a little earlier start today on the drifting. on the water by 8, off by noon. we kept 6 of about maybe 20 trout. they were hitting both margarita and morning glory sand eels, but tended to prefer the margarita. most fish came off of one really good drift then we went back to repeat it and realized we were the lead boat in front of another dozen or so. next drift didn't produce but a few, so we called it a day. i was really wanting to wade today but there wasn't any water early this am.
