Capt. Steve convensed me that I should do more trout fishing here lately so I gave it a try this morning before the rain hit and had a great bite from 8-9:45 . Landed 4 trout over 25" and several in the 20-23" range ( did not keep any over 20 today) The bite stopped when the tide switched so I made a move to another one of my favorite spots and again the fish did not let me down. I decided to box some for a fry this weekend. Finished the day with my 10 up to 19" and lost count on the rest. Most of my big fish came on a bait that most people don't even know about, its a Lake Fork Swim Shad in solid white fished almost like a corky with a 1/8 th jig head, and the rest came on a pump/chart. killer flats minnow the XL on 1/4 jig head.
