Since Keith and Scott had such a good day yesterday, Keith was ready to go again today. He twisted my arm and we hit the water about noon to a slow outgoing tide. We saw no bait, so after about an hour we moved and found no bait on the next spot. We went back to where they caught them yesterday and grinded it out for the rest of the day. We were waiting for the incoming to start and it never started. We never saw any bait and got 1 bite all day, which was a 26" red. We could have drifted the streaks with the other boats, but wanted to get that 1 big bite that never came.
What a difference a day makes. I am ready for winter to be over. I am getting tired of being cold and getting beat up.

Nice red! This has been a tough winter, where it's difficult to count on anything happening two days in a row. We will see things start to level out this month, then you just have to deal with the spring finicky West Bay trout thing....

I was dang jealous that you fellers were going and I couldn't join the fun. I thought for sure it would be on again!

                  Nice red Chip.

That is a nice ride Keith. Remember, you gotta take good care of it so I can buy it when you are ready to trade up!

Were you out there today Capt Clint? There were lots of trucks at the ramp and a bunch loading to leave when we we just getting on the water. It calmed down and stopped raining and was pretty nice most of the afternoon, but no tide/no bait = no fish!
