Headed out to west bay with my dad around noon. We had a pretty slow day. Couldn't find much bait anywhere. After awhile we found some mullet up tight to the shoreline. My dad caught a nice trout that was 24.5" and I picked up a flounder and had a few fish pull off. On one of my first cast I missed a good blowup and thought I was going to pick up a few up on topwaters but that was my only one. Sure was a grind.

Today was a different story. Woke up and the winds were west, around 10-15 so I headed out to a spot around confederates. Picked up one small trout and then around 9 all hell broke loose with that wind. On the way back I came across some of the roughest water I've seen in West bay. Our little bluewave can handle some chop but today I got soaked lol.

Here's my dads trout and the flounder I caught. I used sneekypetes trick of stabbing the flounder with your stringer spike. Worked like a charm.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Yea, had it been blowing like it did mid morning I would've stayed in. It was "do-able" when I woke up

Always look at the weather forecast before you go.
