My son, a student and member from Sienna and I got on the water early this morning. I was dying for a fishing fix, we were out of the boat on our first wade at 6:30. Starting on a reef throwing top waters, I had a pink skitterwalk, Jim bone/char, Trey a white/pink. We caught fish every cast from 6:40 to 7:30. A safe estimate of 40 total, I had 6 keepers, and Jim/Trey 3 each respectively. At 7:30 they didn't just slow down, they quit. Hmmmm? We tried devil eyes, plum/char assassins, you name it, nada nothing, bite was over. We left our spot, tried North and South shorelines, some reefs in Chocolate, Snake Island and didn't catch another fish all day. Off the water and back in Sugar Land for leftover Turkey and dressing by 4:00
Got my fix, was hoping the weather would hold off one more day, guess I'll lay up and read a book tomorrow.
