Let me preface this with; I played hooky today!!!!! I had blocked off Wed the 18th a month ago to go out to The Houstonian and shoot video of the LPGA girls playing in their Tour Championship. As a Teacher of the game it helps to study and analyze the great ones of the game to better myself as an instructor.
However after looking at todays forecast and looking ahead at my next opportunity to fish, I made an executive decision to bail on the LPGA stars and hit West Bay. I didn't get on the water till 7:15 and out of the boat at 8:00, from about 8:30 to 10:30 I caught a limit of trout that all went 17 inches and released over 30 fish. It didn't matter what I threw, Plum/char devil eyes, Black/char devil eyes, chicken on a chain bass assassins, pink skitterwalks, bone super spooks, with the exception of 4 or 5 dinks every fish was 16 to 171/2.
It's been along time since it's been that easy, the only sad part of the day, is, I couldn't find anybody that wanted to fish
