Sunday morning I took my Dentist and his son, who just graduated from Texas A&M and played on the National Championship Golf Team, Yes, the Aggies are the 2009 NCAA Champions. At any rate, Matt and Doc have not done much fishing and never waded. We started on some reefs in Chocolate, I hooked a nice trout that went 23 inches, which got the morning started off right, we then hopped back in the boat and tried the north shoreline only to catch grass and introduce Matt to, how to avoid stingrays. We then jumped back in the boat and headed to bird island only to find a few boats where I wanted to fish, so, we continued on to the south shoreline, jumped out just short of the water tower, I caught a 22 inch trout on a topwater and then it happened, I heard Matt yelling for help, he had a 25 inch redfish pulling drag, he landed the fish and I mean landed, he took her over to the bank. I quickly made my way over to him and helped. I don't know who was happier, me or him to see that fish on a stringer. Pictures soon
Today my son and I went back out for revenge, we fished chocolate reefs the south shoreline again, Trey caught his personal best two fish a 22 and 24 inch trout, one on topwater black/char head, the big one on a plum/char assassin. I caught two trout that looked like brothers, both 17 inches on a blue/green topdog on the south shoreline
