  • Tues night Spots and Dots

Met up with best friend Kevin for a little evening fishing, we hit the water around 1700 hrs loaded with all kinds of baits searching for that one great big pull.. You know the one that almost takes your pole and gives you a tingle in the back on your pants
Anyways, we scouted a few places finding bait busting eveywhere in Offats.. Chunked a few assorted plastics but found Live Shrimps under a cork worked best.. A ton of dinks caught and released gently with only 1 for the box at around 20... Night time was closing in and we wanted to be set up and waiting for that magic time at Kevin's Reef.. It is wonderful little reef that always seems to produce for some Red fish action and here of late a few real nice Trout..
So with a bait box loaded with some live mullets our adventure begin, Keeper Trout and Reds were had with ease... Dinner Bell ringing loudly! The final count was a limited of Reds for me and 1 nice Trout and 6 Trout I believe for Kevin... All good size table fare!
Here are a few Pic's: We split the catching BTW, maybe Kevin can add some pic's?

Nice looking reds! I too have been doing pretty well in the evenings for reds.
Timing has a lot to do with the outcome of a rain dance.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Great report and food porn. I've seen a number of redfish reports coming from reefs in that area of the bay. May have to try that pattern out! Thanks!

Sorry, I did not take any pics and fried up the redfish and one trout. Thanks for the red Walt. You scored up a nice limit!

Beware of large lady fish in the evening! They are well over 25" and jumping like tarpon. Drag rippin fast action fun but sure will make quick of your bait and tackle.

Moon was just about full, light NE breeze and really high tide that was flowing out hard. Bay was like a sheet of glass. Excellent night for sure.
