With the water temperature dropping below 80 degrees, the plan for the day was target a topwater bite behind the pass. Today's weather forecast was for E 5-10 becoming SE 5-10 in the afternoon. It was actually N 10-15 all morning. So much for plan 'A'. Decided to check out some of my fall flounder spots. The reds and flounder did not disappoint. Caught two reds to 24" (largest one released) and four flounder, including my personal best at 23" surpassing the previous mark of 22". All caught wading 2-2.5' of water on 4" sea shad (red shad).

Excellent catch. We were skunked, but we weren't that mad at the fish.
