Fished an area with nice shell and mud in 3' to 6' of water for about 2 hours and ended up with 2 trout to 20" had one other hit. One fish on Hackberry Hustler and one fish on an Original Paul Brown Devil with the paddle tail.

The bite was a little faster than the winter bite but a little slower than the spring bite.

Wish I could have fished longer as the weather was starting to improve but my back started to kill me with pain from a kidney stone. I've had several kidney stones and all I can say is they are no fun.

Yea I was wading and then I could hardly stand so I went back to boat and laid on my back on the casting deck for a little then headed in. The first time I had one I thought I was going to die the pain was so bad, now there still painful but not nearly as bad as the first time I had one.
