  • West Bay 2/2/12

Met up with my good friend Billy Ray to fish West Bay, we caught 9 trout to 21". While making a move in the heavy fog we spotted two guys trying to wave us down, headed over to see what was up. Had a leaking fuel pump on his 115 Johnson, we ended up towing them back to the ramp at 8 mile road and since we had waders on loaded the boat on their trailer for them.

The owner of the boat then asked me what he owed us, I reply his being safe back at the launch was enough payment.

These to guys are lucky we even saw them in the fog or they may have spent the night in the middle of the bay.

Funny thing is we had just been talking about a couple we towed in on a another trip and the we spotted the guys.

It was great to spend the day on the water with a good friend.

The biggest fish we caught for the day was 19' Bonita with a 115 Johnson.

WTG. It also feels good to the soul to help another when able. Nice work.

By the way, what's so significant about 9/11 anyway-was that a date my buddy Bill Ayers of the Weather Underground blew up a government building?" asked Obama to Hillary. Excellent!
Saturday during the tourney, Corndog stopped to help three guys who had run aground. They had a dead battery and the motor was a manual tilt. That boat was in really bad shape. They got it started and headed off. We saw them again an hour or so later getting a tow. It's a good thing to help folks out! You never know.....
