Went to ftu to pick up some baits to restock my supply for a while. Girl friend wanted to buy me a new reel for X-mas and I picked up a Lew's. Took it out yesterday to dial it in a that baby was silky smooth. I'm a long time Shimano man all the way back to my bantam. Come April I'll be back in the surf here by the house and I'll know then if it can take the salt the surf can deal a reel, but some far so good.

I always spend 3 times what I planned when I hit Academy or FTU. I think they put some sort of drug in the air around the fishing and hunting stuff that makes ya say "Gee, I need that" and when ya get home, ya think, sheez, I really dint need to get that-maybe that's why I have about 35 rods and reels???
