  • Lessons Learned-Get A Net (Among others)

When fishing from a boat bring a net. You'll miss it when you have a 20+ flounder that weighs 3+ lbs. GAHHHHHH!!!! Also, when bringing up any fish, try not to get the mouth above the water.

I love rattle traps and hackberry's!

When chasing birds, you need a good trolling motor.

Two lies = truth. Liar birds are no different.

A net on the boat is nice to have, but its also nice to have someone be able to grab it & know how to use it. That flounder would have stuffed good.
    Today is a new day!!

C'mon, Jhua. You're supposed to put that ninja move on 'em. I certainly hope you're not succumbing to our Western decadence!

Yep,,a net is a must. Short story. Once while fishing the deep hole at the north end of Cold Pass the boat next to me hooked up on a monster flounder. I watched them circle the boat 4 or 5 times trying it get the fish in. I figured out they didn't have a net and asked if they needed help. They waved me over and before I reached them the flounder drug the line across the prop and cut the line. I really felt bad for them.....It was probably a 7 or 8 pounder.

And don't think you can get away with lipping a trout to get'em in the boat......

jhua needs to upgrade to braid and that big flounder would have been in the boat. The other one was barley hooked with one barb and his slippery a s s got away. part of fishing. We should get on em again during the week so we dont have to fight 100 idiots for a few good sized eating fish,
