Tried the surf around SLP in the boat again this morning with no takers. Seemed to be plenty of bait and we tried places all the way down to Sea Isle. Didn't see many of the waders catching either; those that did were throwing bait. Wind was a little stronger this morning than the forecast said. Tried calm water on north shoreline in late morning and found a few undersized reds and trout on SSJr and mardi gras plastics.

Thanks for the report, I read you tried the surf and the north shoreline, did you go in and out of SLP ?
I only ask because I know next to nothing about navigating SLP. I have fished behind it, in it and in front of it, but I have never gone thru it.... -
We did go through SLP. Look at Google Earth to get a good sense of where the channels are. Also look for folks going through and follow them to get an idea and tracks on your GPS.
