Had to pick up some materials from our home in Galveston for a project. My plan was to go down to the home pick up the materials and then go to work. When I got to the home in Galveston, I couldn't resist the waters. I carry a rod and some tackle in my car for situations such as this. Packed the materials in the car and threw out a Hackberry Hustler in morning glory in the canal at 8 ish, telling myself to leave in half an hour. 3rd cast in I hook onto a 17 inch flounder, but it comes unbuttoned at the pilings. I spent the next 10 minutes coaxing it to hit again and sure enough it got tired of the hustler waving around in its face. I get a bucket with some ice from the house and put it in. The next few casts, I have some hits but no hook-ups and call it a day. Along the way to work, the flounder is thrashing around in the bucket even with the ice. Not wanting to drive home, I drop by my aunts house and give the fish to her, all in time to get to my 10:30 meeting. A few moments ago, my aunt came by and dropped this off.
