I was able to bust out in time to get to the spot I posted about last weekend that held all this little ones about 8:15 pm. Lots of activity around me. I took a 4" new penny gulp and free lined it out there letting the wind/current take it out. Third try produced a barely keeper red. Boxed him and it was nearly dark so I grabbed a popping cork and fastened it on so I could make a little noise. Did the same cast for that tide and on about the fifth cast caught a 16" trout. I boxed him and told Lara we should take it on in. She said not until I get that flounder and my slam! Good girl. Went back to free lining and cast the gulp in the eddies seeing if Mr. Flattie would want to play...no takers. It was now dark ad we needed to get going.
