I took my niece out on Friday evening and we decided to give the lights a try. We got out around 7pm and motored out past the bridge toward PI. There were gulls all around picking, but not really staying on top of one area for very long. This was on the south side from the causeway to the PI bridge. I decided to give it a go and set a long drift through the birds and she caught sand trout and whiting. Not bad, and off to the lights we go.....
She caught her first piggy and then it happened....cork down, slowly reeling, BIG GRIN, steady reeling, BIGGER GRIN, rod slams down, drag screaming, BIG EYES and the look of confusion, POP!!!!
Her very first, "One that got away!"
Good Times!
Thanks GSB for the spotlight, we sure needed it to get back in.
