Solid action 1-3-11

Solid action in the back lakes of west bay yesterday, put in around 05:30 AM made a run up in the diversionary with luck then ran over to greens and found a few birds along with a little bait working in the back of a small cove, I was the first to hook up with a very nice 27 inch red and about 20 minutes later my friend big d hooked up with an even bigger red just under 28 inch and fat! Got 2 more in that size range. The rest of the fish were good middle slot reds, with lots of small hooks ups. My son Justin had a blast with lots the action all day. We used 4 inch jerk shad most of the time and the water was fairly clear and going out all Morning, wind out of the East and not too bad maybe 10 -15 knots. We fished in a foot and a half to three foot of water mud with mixed shell.
