Ran out with Wakebait Master Joe (fishcatchr) this morning in his john boat. Got on the water somewhere around 9 am. First stop wading knee deep mud/shell mix produced only 1 trout. Second stop we waded near a deep gut. We caught several rat reds and some decent trout (16-18) with a few dinks mixed in. Also caught a potato chip sized flatty. After the action faded we ran down to Green's lake and found a few more rat reds and we each nabbed a slot red. We probably caught 20 fish or so on the day, maybe 8-10 would have kept but we threw everything back. All fish fell for dark colored plastics, ie morning glory and red shad. Water was about a 1.5 foot below normal. Wind was blowing 15-20 when we got out and died to around 10 kts by 11 out of the northeast. Air temp was 43 when we launched and 52 when we got off the water at 2. It was a bit chilly in the morning but warmed up quick. Water was too clear in many places.
