Got to the water right at dusk, the water was in great shape but the water was low. I got the lights set up and set up my rod while the lights worked their magic. 20 minutes after sun down the trout started busting the shad at the edge of the lights. I caught my first speck shortly after, then I couldn't keep the sand trout off my hook.
Around 10 the tide switched and brought dirty water with it and completely shut the bite off. So it was another long wait before the next speck bite. Around 1130 they turned back on for a 30 minute window and then it was nothing but silver trout or yellow tails which ever you prefer. I ended the night shortly after that with 4 solid specks. Bait of choice was the crappie wedge tail in pearl/chart. tandem rigged with 1/16 oz jig heads.
