I haven't been fishing in months, just to busy with school and work. I had an opening in my schedule last night, so I went to the ferry landing hoping to find a few flat fish on the moon set. I got out there around 230 AM and I started out fishing with a 1/4oz with a black/chart. cocahoe tipped with a live shrimp. I worked the shore lines of both sides of the landings with no success, so I switched to throwing live shrimp on a jig head moving it slowly across the bottom. I figured I would have picked up at the least, a sand trout. No sand trout, no flounder, I was ready to leave. On my final cast of the night, I finally got a hit. It felt like a flounder, it even held on to the bottom like a flounder, but it wasn't a flounder. I caught a 2 1/2 foot eel. I called it a night after that.
