Pat and I got out for the first time in a few weeks and were able to find some solid Specks around some rigs in 8-9'.
The bite started slow but picked up around 10:30 on TTF Red Shad, 1/4 oz and Gulp New Penny/Char Shrimp on 1/8 & 1/4. I had 4 in the 4-6 lb. range along with 4 more 19-21". Pat had 6 in the 19-21" with all fish released except 1 of Pat's. As he was bringing it in, I saw a big swirl but his fish was not the cause. As he got it to the boat, I saw the water explode as a big shark took his fish while he let out and OH S$$t and jumped back. Needless to say, the bite stopped and we headed back.
Great morning on the water, boat ran great and we caught some solid fish.
