  • Full moon late report

I went for a solo night wade under the full moon last weekend. Walked in about 3:00 chunking a spook jr. Took me about 30 minutes to locate some fish. Got my first blow up and landed a solid 18" trout. Then fast action and caught a fish on the next 5 cast in a row. Then as quick as it turned on, it turned off. It was weird that I had no bites for 30 minutes, then 6 fish on consecutive casts, then no more hits at all. I worked the area hard for another 45 minutes with nothing. I caught 6 fish total. One was under sized and I lost one while stringing it, so ended up with 4 trout 17" - 19.5". The wind came up before it even got daylight so I headed home early. Momma was happy that I got home early and brought some dinner with me too.

Topwaters....night time....full moon....big blowups and solid trout.... LOVE IT!!
