  • Reds and Trout- 1/21/12 Report

Cameron and i headed out late in the afternoon. Started catching trout on my chartreuse/ white topwater. 5 blow-ups and 3 hook-ups. Then the reds started coming out and focusing on nervous bait pushed on the shoreline, Cameron pulled in the lone slot while I hooked up with some rats and lost a very decent trout. If the weather holds like this, we may have found where the fish have been hiding. First top water fish this year, and it felt...AWESOME!

Hope this rain won't drive 'em out.

it might for a couple days. If the "winter" stays like this it will be on until next winter.

Actually the areas I fish have been devoid of em since early December. We shall see though. We need to fish sometime!

the fishing was good,it was the catching that was bad.
