I usually dont post up reports but im sick of studying for finals and need a quick break and what better of a way to catch a break than recapping recent trips. Went out saturday morning round 5 had some boat trouble so didnt hit the water until 7. white caps everywhere made topwaters impossible to work found some birds over some mud/shell about 6 feet deep 2nd or third cast i got a typical cold weather strike that i missed after a few more soft bites and lost fish i saw a niceee speck come out of the water and make a ton of commotion on the surface as i watched this and thought how peculiar it was i noticed this speck had just smashed my pink fatboy right below the surface. the vicious strike was much better than the fight, she kindof just surrendered and floated into the net. nicest speck I have ever caught on a corky! and to think i used to hate those things...(thanks for changing my mind on that sonny) the bite soon completely shut off after that fish due to spectators (potlickers) who saw me releasing the fish and got a little to close. ended up calling it a day soon after. to cold for the likes of me. i know the picture is of amazingly poor quality buuut i havent mastered editing out the background yet so i took the easy route and took a a shaky unfocused picture of the picture.
