  • Gotta report the bad

Snuck out for a few hours this morning, conditions weren't ideal but I had to get out after being stuck inside studying for the past few days. Walked in around 6:30 throwing topwaters, never had a blowup. Switched to plastics and caught one keeper trout and got broke off by some toothy critter. That was my only fish of the day, moved down the shoreline where there were pelicans diving, I threw a full size spook for a litttle bit before a pelican decided he wanted it for breakfast. I felt bad because he almost swallowed it, I just cut the line and called it a day. back to the books...

lol I had almost the same day but caught some fish and one keeper flounder. The liarnet weatherman said 8mph winds.......he should have said x2.The water clarity did look better that friday until you got out far enough from shore. What is funny is not one trout caught all were flounder or reds.

The wind was calm where I was, the tide was completely slack though which I think hurt the bite.

Early slack tides have definitely slowed the bite.
